The Non-O Guardian Visa in Thailand is designed for foreign parents of children who are either currently holding or applying for an Education Visa to study at an international school in Phuket.

The Non-Immigrant O (Dependent) Visa is tailored for the family members of foreign nationals employed in Thailand. It’s an excellent option for families wanting to stay in Thailand beyond 30 days.

The Non-O Guardian visa is designated for foreign parents of a child who is a non-Thai national, either already holding or in the process of applying for an educational visa to attend an international school in Phuket.

This visa stipulates a one-to-one ratio, allowing for one Guardian visa per each education visa. Similar to the procedure for obtaining an education visa for children, a parent may enter Thailand using the 30-day visa exemption or a 60-day tourist visa acquired through a Thai embassy. The Guardian visa permits a parent to legally reside in Thailand for a year, with the possibility of annual renewal until the child turns 18 years old.

Duration of the Visa

When you apply for this visa within Thailand, such as converting a tourist or existing Non-Immigrant visa, it is valid for up to a year. These visas are single-entry, but we can arrange a re-entry permit, allowing multiple entries on the same visa.

Documentation Required:
  • A valid passport with a minimum of six months validity and two blank pages
  • Minimum 500,000 Baht in a Thai bank account per Guardian visa
  • Evidence of financial stability*
  • Original Thai Bank book
  • Official letter from your bank in Thailand
  • Medical Certificate from a recognized hospital
